Solid solutions in the IrO2−TiO2 quasibinary iridium-titanium system with rutile and anatase crystal structures were observed for the first time based on powder X-ray diffraction measurements. Evaluations using Rietveld refinements showed the existence of a complete solid-solution series in the rutile structure type. Conductivity measurements using the 2-point method support these results by clearly distinguishing the data from those of the percolation theory.
